Michael Cooper

In 2003 Claude Koening and Rungwe Kingdon of Pangolin Editions asked whether I could develop a photographic image onto patinated bronze. This challenge was the start of what we called Photines – a form of photographic work I continue to experiment with and take delight in. The result was a commission to create ‘Portrait of Pangolin’ – an exhibition of many such images of the artists, workers and clients associated with the Pangolin foundry and gallery. Three years in the making, this was the first time I really exhibited my own work.

Unique.
